One of the most influential books I have read. It taught me how to make difficult choices and step through fear during very difficult times in my life. It guided me on how to fill my life with a richness and complexity I had not had before. I owe a lot to this book.

Man’s Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl

I read this book when I am really struggling with an issue or stress. The story of Viktor’s struggles and survival through concentration camps juxtaposes horrible tragedy and the ability for humans to survive and heal and do so with gratitude. It inspires me.

The Dark Side of the Light Chasers by Debbie Ford

This book helped give me compassion and empathy to others and made me realize I am much more similar to people than I am different from them.

Rites to a Good Life by Frederick Marx

As a parent, this book has given me lots of ideas on how to support my kids’ transformation into mature adults. It also pointed out to me what I lacked growing up and offered ways to achieve that transformation now.
